A Villa Full of Antiquities

The Getty Villa is dedicated to the art of ancient Greece, Rome and Etruria.  It contains over 44,000 Greek, Roman and Etruscan antiquities dating from 6,500 BC to 400 AD.

At least they open it up to the public and not keep all the treasures hidden for themselves.

The Getty Villa is such a breathtaking place, it honestly feels like stepping back in time. It’s wild to think about the sheer scale of history housed there, spanning all the way back to 6,500 BC! The setting in Pacific Palisades makes the whole experience feel even more like an ancient Mediterranean escape.
