Famous Bakery

 

The original ovens at the famous Poilane Bakery in Paris.  The bakery has been in this location on rue du Cherchi-Midi since 1932.  The full bread production now takes place in a huge warehouse-style bakery in the suburbs but this original location still maintains the traditional way of baking that famous sourdough bread.

Institut de Monde Arabe

 

The Institut de Monde Arabe (Arab World Institute) was founded in Paris in 1980 by France and 18 Arab countries.  It houses Islamic cultural exhibitions.  The metallic screens contain 240 photosensitive, motor controlled apertures or shutters controlled by the light, temperature and sunshine on the building.
