I walked past this construction site back in August 2025 when I was visiting London. The way this building was being constructed struck me as rather odd. It just seemed strange to construct one wall like that without another wall to brace it.
I did a Google search on this location and it looks like this might be a construction for and 12 story student housing unit. Here is the quote I found on my Google search.
61-65 Holborn Viaduct (Student Accomodation): A 12-story building being constructed on one of London's most challenging sites due to its location above old rail infrastructure.
Maybe this method has something to do with the challenging site.
