The Sphere

 

The Sphere is a large bronze sculpture created by Fritz Koenig.  It sat between the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York from 1972 to 9/11/2001.  

This photo was taken in 2002 when it was temporarily located at Battery Park.  It is now located at Liberty Park overlooking the 9/11 Memorial.
