A statue of John Betjeman, one time poet laureate stands inside St. Pancras station in London. It was cast in 2007 and unveiled by Betjeman's daughter on November 12, 2007 to commemorate the opening of St. Pancras International as the London terminus of the Eurostar high speed rail link. Betjeman led the campaign to save the station from demolition back in the 1960's.
