Montmarte

On of my favorite photos from a trip I took to Paris in 2006 is this photo of a street in Montmartre just north of the Sacre-Coeur.  Probably about three years ago, I went to see a French movie (the title escapes me now) and imagine my surprise when the film opened to this exact street.

It's wonder of the French have kept their village look intact. A lot of the small towns in Canada have lost that look with Wal-marts, Home Depot, etc.

Great photo. Montmarte feels like a French village in the midst of a huge city.

It is so lovely! We fell in love with Paris and hope to go back once more before we die. I've been posting a few photos recently on our Paree blog: http://pareeandme.blogspot.com.

I can see why this street would be used in a movie. Lovely.

Beautiful. Love the paint jobs and the curving street.
