California ocean views

In the city of Corona Del Mar in California, there is a park that overlooks the ocean and is a popular place to watch the sunset over the Pacific.  There are also a row of houses that are are literally hanging on the side of a cliff that plunges down to the water.

It's a place where real estate prices soar to astronomical levels and I'm sure insurance costs are right up there too.  That is, if you can even get insurance on one of these precariously perched abodes.

But, if you are just visiting as I was, you can enjoy the houses hanging below, enjoy the sun sinking into the ocean......

......see a sea nymph frolicking among the shore plants and.....

.....watch the pelicans looking for an evening snack.

Everyone enjoys staying on the ocean. Your photos make wish I were there.

I just can't imagine living in a place like this. It's really beyond wild dreams.

Another wonderful series of photos. It's been a long time since we've been in this area. I think those people perched on the cliffs are a little nuts, though, 'cause every so often after lots of rain one of those houses slides into the ocean. Love that nymph!

I think I might have been with you when you took these photos. I know the spot exactly. It is a nice place to watch the sunset.

The setting sun adds such warmth to these shots. A nice place to visit, but I would not want to live there.
