The tourist town of Jerome Arizona viewed from across the valley. Its position on the side of the mountain doesn't look as precarious from this distance. From the town itself, it looks like it is clinging to the side of the mountain.

The home of Sir Frederic Leighton (1830-1896), the painter and sculptor. The home is open for tours to see the unique living quarters and his work studio. The interior is very unique with Arabian style features. Leighton's most well known painting is called "Flaming June" and is now located in the Museo de Arte de Ponce in Puerto Rico. I missed seeing that painting by just a few weeks. It was scheduled to be on display in his former home in late 2016 through April of 2017.
I have featured the "Flaming June" painting on my love of art site today. It is a painting that most people will recognize because it has been reproduced in posters many times.
